Who We Are

Our Story & Mission

Founded in 1998, the Meadowbrook Ward has grown into a vibrant congregation of approximately 425 members serving families and individuals across the downtown and east bench neighborhoods of Salt Lake City. We are united in our purpose to follow Jesus Christ, strengthen homes, and serve our community with compassion. Each Sunday we gather for worship, gospel instruction, and meaningful connection across all ages. From young families to lifelong disciples, we strive to build a ward where faith grows and everyone belongs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get involved as a new member?

Start by attending Sunday services! Introduce yourself to members or leaders—we’d love to welcome you. New members are often invited to ward events, and there are service opportunities for everyone.

Absolutely. All are welcome to join us for Sunday services. You’ll experience our community and learn about our faith in a respectful, no-pressure environment.

Yes. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we follow Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God, our Savior, and the foundation of our faith.

Some of our beliefs and practices may differ from other Christian denominations, but our commitment to Jesus Christ is unwavering. We try to live His teachings every day and become more like Him.

Most congregations follow a similar Sunday schedule. Services begin with a main gathering called a sacrament meeting, where we sing hymns, pray, and hear uplifting talks shared by members of the congregation.

The most sacred part is the sacrament (similar to communion), where we remember Jesus Christ and renew our commitment to Him.

Afterward, smaller classes are held for children, youth, and adults. These classes are a chance to learn, ask questions, and build community.
