Sister Rebecca Martinez: A Light in the Community

Words of appreciation for their service

""Sister Martinez has a way of making every child feel like they truly belong. My daughter feels seen, loved, and excited to be part of Primary because of her.""

""Our family has felt her influence far beyond Sundays. She’s helped create an environment where our kids feel the Spirit and actually understand what they’re learning.""

Member Highlight

Sister Rebecca Martinez has been serving as our ward’s Primary President for the past two years, and her influence has been felt throughout our entire congregation.

With boundless energy and genuine love for each child, she has created a Primary program where children feel valued, safe, and excited to learn about the gospel. She knows every child by name and makes a point to greet each one personally every Sunday.

Beyond her calling, Sister Martinez has organized quarterly service projects where Primary children visit local nursing homes to sing and share handmade cards with residents.

She has also established a mentorship program pairing older Primary children with younger ones, fostering friendships that cross age boundaries.

Her creative lesson planning and attention to children with special needs has made Primary a place where all children can participate and feel the Spirit. Parents frequently express gratitude for the positive impact she has had on their families.
